KBXX Leads Way With Houston's Hip Hop for HIV Awareness

RADIO ONE Top 40/Rhythmic KBXX (97.9 THE BOX)/HOUSTON, in conjunction with The HOUSTON DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES-BUREAU OF HIV/STD AND VIRAL HEPATITIS PREVENTION, AIDS FOUNDATION HOUSTON, GREENSPOINT MALL, and other community-based organizations are teaming up for the 4TH ANNUAL HIP HOP FOR HIV AWARENESS -- KNOW YOUR STATUS campaign and concert.
This HOUSTON-wide awareness campaign for HIV education, testing, and prevention is the largest annual single testing event in the UNITED STATES, with the goal of testing 15,000 youth and adults between the ages of 15-40. Free confidential testing and consultation starts MONDAY, JUNE 28th through THURSDAY, JULY 1st at GREENSPOINT MALL. Additional testing dates and locations are listed at 97.9 THE BOX's website.
The free testing culminates with a free concert on SATURDAY, JULY 31st, exclusively for individuals that fully participated in the health intervention. The free HIP HOP FOR HIV AWARENESS CONCERT features THE PARTY BOYZ, JUST BRITTNEY, PAPA REU, DALLAS BLOCKER, Z-RO, LLOYD BANKS, PAUL WALL, BUN B and PLIES.
