Houston Traffic Reporting Mainstay Marty Ambrose Dies

Condolences to family and friends of longtime HOUSTON traffic reporter MARTY AMBROSE, who died TODAY after a battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (LOU GEHRIG's Disease) at 69.
AMBROSE, most recently heard as afternoon traffic anchor HOUSTON PUBLIC RADIO noncommercial KUHF-F/HOUSTON through the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER AT HOUSTON, started on the radio as a volunteer fill-in for reports from AAA, then formed HOUSTON TRAFFIC CENTRAL before joining METRO NETWORKS in 1989, working there as Senior Anchor and Dir. of Community Relations until 2003.
