Infinite Dial Study: Youth Use The Net For Music Discovery

A recent "The Infinite Dial" study by ARBITRON and EDISON MEDIA has found out that while the Internet is closing in on radio as the primary music discovery service for all listeners, the young, active demos -- the tweens, teens and young adults -- have preferred the Net for years. And it's not even close.
Consider: In 2002, 57% of young listeners used radio as their primary music discovery source, compared to 22% choosing the Internet. Eight years later, in 2010, 55% of young listeners use the Net for music discovery, compared to 29% choosing radio.
