July 1, 2010 at 10:41 AM (PT)
Congrats to 28-year Country radio veteran PRINCE MAYNE who has hit the 10-year anniversary of doing his daily national Country radio show for what is now DIAL GLOBAL LOCAL. MAYNE joined the network on JUNE 30th, 2000 when it was known as RADIO-ONE NETWORKS as its “Country Today” morning show personality. Since then, the network has gone through several ownership changes including being owned by WAITT RADIO NETWORKS and NRG MEDIA.
MAYNE built his own studio after reconstruction layoffs in DECEMBER 2006 and started his voiceover business, PM VOICE PRODUCTIONS. He was rehired as an independent vocal talent for the evening show on COUNTRY TODAY and COUNTRY CLASSIC formats. He also hosts KICK BACK TRACKS, which airs on SUNDAY evenings on all DGL COUNTRY TODAY stations and does commercial production for DIAL GLOBAL’s PDQ (PRODUCTION DONE QUICKLY) department. MAYNE does all his work at his ranch which is located outside of OMAHA, NE.
MAYNE said: “I just want to share my joy with others. My continued love for the daily interaction I can share with my listeners, one-to-one, has carried me through some of my darkest doubts I've ever had of the current radio business itself.”
