'Backyard Party' Site Launches Today

A group of 80 internet streams are banding together for the launch of the BACKYARD PARTY RADIO NETWORK website, where the stations are being aggregated in a tuner-style interface.

"Each station is doing its own thing on the air; what bands us together is our aim. We're creating a buzz about internet radio to raise awareness of how easy it's become to get great radio online," said co-creator and ERRORFM Dir. of Programming BARRY FUNKHOUSER.

Among the streams being featured are ERRORFM's LIVE, INDIEPOP, and HOTTALKLA; RADIO23.ORG's CHANNEL A, ROOM 111, and CASCADE COMMUNITY RADIO; JUSTIN MICHAEL PRODUCTIONS' z939 HOT COUNTRY and CANDY103; NEW VISION BROADCASTING's MYJAZZPLANET.COM; and RHYTHM96, OLDSKOOL101 and ROCK100DIZ.

The formal launch is scheduled for 3p (PT) at BackyardPartyRadio.net
