Chuck 'The Magic Christian'

Condolences to the family and friends of CHUCK "THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN," who lost his battle with cancer on FRIDAY JULY 2nd at a boarding house in IOWA. CHUCK had worked at many radio stations in the U.S. and CANADA including KGBS/LOS ANGELES, KCBQ/SAN DIEGO, KRUX/PHOENIX, WVBF/BOSTON, WIBG/PHILADELPHIA and CFTR and CHUM in CANADA. He grew up in WHITTIER, CA.

KRTH's SHOTGUN TOM KELLY said, "CHUCK was a very funny man on and off the air. When asked why he put on so much cologne and smelled so strong he said, 'That way I could walk around the station, leave my scent and people would think I was still in the radio station.' CHUCK said that he like to do his show and leave right away so he did not have to do any production work."

On AUGUST 28th 2010 at 12:10p in SANTEE, CA,, CHUCK "THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN" will be remembered along with at least 75 other radio jocks, News people and PDs who worked at KCBQ AM 1170 in SAN DIEGO on a monument with his name in stone.
