This past FOURTH OF JULY weekend was a celebration of many things in PORTLAND, OR, besides the nation’s birthday: the 23rd annual SAFEWAY WATERFRONT BLUES FESTIVAL took place, which featured 125 acts on four stages, and event host ALPHA BROADCASTING Triple A KINK also held an online auction. Both were in support of the OREGON FOOD BANK and this year all previous records were broken: over $645,000 and 90,000 pounds of food were collected!
"This is incredible news for the OREGON FOOD BANK and the many folks who are hungry right here in our state," commented KINK PD DENNIS CONSTANTINE. "I'm very proud of our involvement with the Blues Festival and all the members of the KINK Community who came out and supported this important cause."
