BP Advertising On Radio Continues

BP "has put off crucial integrity tests on the new stacking cap on its ruptured GULF oil well so it can review testing procedures," reports CNN. A review is expected to take place through the day TODAY.
While the work to stop the oil from flowing into THE GULF continues, so does BP advertising on radio.
The oil company continues to use radio to get its spin of events out, and MEDIA MONITORS has been tracking the number of spots -- and the amount of money spent -- for 12 weeks now.
Last week, BP ran 2,608 radio spots nationally (NET NEWS 7/7) -- this week, MEDIA MONITORS tracked 2,529 spots. Those new commercials cost BP $157,497, for a 12-week total of $937,996 spent on radio.
