The RIAA has released their latest listings for sales certifications, and a few Country artists are among the many who received recognition. ARISTA/NASHVILLE artist BRAD PAISLEY’s “Then” was awarded PLATINUM certification (more than one million downloads), and labelmate CARRIE UNDERWOOD’s “Temporary Home” also went GOLD (more than 500,000 downloads).
MCA/NASHVILLE’s JOSH TURNER’s “Why Don’t We Just Dance” was given GOLD status, as was MERCURY artist JAMEY JOHNSON’s “In Color.” BNA/NASHVILLE star KENNY CHESNEY’s song “I’m Alive” (feat. DAVE MATTHEWS) was another song that received GOLD certification. KENNY picked up GOLD album certifications as well, for “Lucky Old Sun” and “Greatest Hits II.” KENNY’s labelmate, KELLIE PICKLER, was given PLATINUM certification for her single, “Best Days Of Your Life.”
Last but certainly not least, ATLANTIC/HOMEGROWN/BIGGER PICTURE’s ZAC BROWN BAND now has DOUBLE PLATINUM status for their hit single, “Chicken Fried.” For more info, see www.riaa.com.
