IPC MEDIA has inked a deal under which its Alternative digital/online station NME RADIO will return to using hosts and will relaunch in SEPTEMBER on some of the U.K.'s regional DAB multiplexes, reports THE GUARDIAN. TOWN AND COUNTRY BROADCASTING will relaunch the station with IPC from studios in LONDON and WALES.
NME RADIO, based on the music magazine and launched in JUNE 2008, dropped personalities and commercials last month and essentially became a jukebox station, and is presently heard online and on SKY DIGITAL after being dropped from the FREESAT and VIRGIN MEDIA platforms.
