As first reported early THURSDAY morning by ALL ACCESS, former BONNEVILLE Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE and KSL-A/SALT LAKE CITY PD ROD ARQUETTE is joining CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KNRS/SALT LAKE CITY as 4-7p (MT) afternoon host.
ARQUETTE, known in SALT LAKE CITY not only for his stint programming at KSL, but as an anchor and reporter at KUTV (TV), will launch the new show on AUGUST 2nd. VAUGHN HATTON will produce the show and will also serve as Programming Assistant to KNRS and KACP-A (FREEDOM 570) PD GREG FOSTER.
"Nobody knows our community better than ROD," said GM STU STANEK in a press release. "With ROD's experience on both radio and TV in SALT LAKE CITY, he's the natural choice to take the helm of our new live, local afternoon show. 105.7 FM KNRS plays a vital role in discussing issues important to our community. ROD's new show will be a trusted source of local news and insight that will bring knowledge and entertainment to our listeners."
"I'm thrilled to be back in SALT LAKE CITY, a place my wife and I love and am even more thrilled to be given this great opportunity to host a local talk show following the three biggest names in radio today," said ARQUETTE, whose show will replace the present afternoon replay of PREMIERE's GLENN BECK. "I'm so grateful to General Manager STU STANEK and Program Director GREG FOSTER who are giving me the opportunity to host a show in the state that I know so well and love so very much. I look forward to talking with the people of UTAH everyday about the issues they want to hear about and discuss."
