Sources tell ALL ACCESS that UNIVISION RADIO has settled a "pay-for-play" probe run jointly by the DEPT. OF JUSTICE and the FCC by agreeing to pay a $1 million penalty. A Federal Court has accepted a plea from the radio group to criminal charges over the same transgressions.
The settlement comes after allegations that UNIVISION RADIO employees accepted payola from a number of record labels. The radio group also agreed to several additional steps to prevent future violations.
More details to come.
