WENY Mainstay Steve Christy Dies At 75

Condolences to family and friends of former longtime WENY-A and ABC affiliate WENY-TV/ELMIRA, NY personality STEVE CHRISTY, who died THURSDAY (7/29) after a battle with cancer at 75, according to the ELMIRA STAR-GAZETTE.

CHRISTY began his career in 1960 at WNIA and worked at WBUZ-A/FREDONIA, NY before joining WENY in 1963, where he served as a host and PD and as the sister TV station's weatherman and, later, morning host from 1969 through his 2008 retirement.
