Report: KGO To Host California Gubernatorial Debate
August 6, 2010 at 4:46 AM (PT)
In the wake of Republican candidate MEG WHITMAN's difficult experience on CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFI-A/LOS ANGELES' JOHN AND KEN show this week, the candidate and her Democratic opponent for CALIFORNIA Governor, state Attorney General and former Governor JERRY BROWN, have tentatively agreed to debate on CITADEL Talk KGO-A/SAN FRANCISCO on OCTOBER 5th.
If the schedule holds up, WHITMAN, the former eBAY CEO, and BROWN would debate on RONN OWENS' show, according to the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE's JOE GAROFOLI.
WHITMAN's appearance on the JOHN AND KEN show to respond to the hosts' charges that she was offering English-speaking and Spanish-speaking voters conflicting positions on immigration law made headlines in the state, with the hosts grilling WHITMAN for a contentious half-hour.
