The ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION is reporting that MERCURY/NASHVILLE duo SUGARLAND (JENNIFER NETTLES and KRISTIAN BUSH) will reunite with former band member KRISTEN HALL in federal court in ATLANTA this fall to resolve a lawsuit that HALL filed in 2008 (NET NEWS 8/8/08).
HALL, who exited the group in 2005, is suing NETTLES and BUSH for $1.5 million, claiming that she was denied her one-third shares of the SUGARLAND profits. U.S. District Judge TIMOTHY BATTEN denied an earlier request by NETTLES and BUSH for dismissal of the lawsuit, saying that a jury should help determine when their partnership began and when it dissolved, in addition to dividing trademarks and other property between them.
The new trial is set for NOVEMBER 15th. For more on this story, click here.
