August 13, 2010 at 3:32 PM (PT)
The second retrial of Internet talk show host HAL TURNER ended with his conviction TODAY (8/13). The conviction on charges of making terrorist threats against three federal judges who had supported a handgun ban follows two mitrials, the most recent coming in MARCH. TODAY's verdict came after a jury in BROOKLYN deliberated less than two hours.
TURNER, who now faces up to ten years in prison, contended that he was set up and was working as an undercover agent for the FBI when he made the comments threatening the judges.
