BLOOMINGTON NORMAL BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling the construction permit for WIWM/SHEBOYGAN, WI to CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY RADIO, INC. for $5,000.
In other deals filed with the FCC, SHINE THE LIGHT, INC. is selling FM translator K235BP/BEMIDJI, MN to PAUL BUNYAN BROADCASTING CO. for $50,000.
And RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY, INC. is selling FM translator W295AG/ST. MARYS, GA to VICTOR M. VICKERS for $100.
HINDMAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION has asked the FCC for an extension of its Silent STA for WKCB-A/HINDMAN, KY, changing the reason for its taking the station silent last OCTOBER 10th from technical (a lightning strike) to both technical and financial (the station says it cannot repair the damaged transmitter, can't afford a new one, and has yet to find a suitable, returnable used transmitter to get the station back on the air).
WORLD RADIO LINK, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for K239AF/BURLINGTON, IA due to a purchase and pending move of the facility.
EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is asking the FCC for an extension of its Silent STA for W205CI/TALLAPOOSA, GA to allow more time for the Commission to rule on an informal objection to one of the applications for the facility.
ROCKWELL MEDIA FOUNDATION, INC. has closed on the sale of the construction permit for FM translator K272EE/MOAPA, NV to S&R BROADCASTING, INC. for $100. S&R is launching its rebroadcast of its Talk KDOX-A (FOX NEWS 1280)/LAS VEGAS on the translator TODAY (8/16).
The LINDA JEROME FOUNDATION has closed on the sale of the construction permit for noncommercial FM WKEN/KENTON, OH to SOARING EAGLE PROMOTIONS, INC. for $20,000.
The sale of KKHI/DENVER by BUSTOS MEDIA to WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP has closed. WAY-FM paid $2.325 million for the station, which flipped to Contemporary Christian under an LMA to the buyer. BUSTOS, now headed by interim CEO JAY MEYERS of BROADCAST MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, is being merged into NAP BROADCAST HOLDINGS, LLC, pending FCC approval.
And after the FCC rejected a challenge to the deal, the transfer by trustee ANABELLE SAVAGE of the license of KQLO-A/SUN VALLEY, NV from UNIVERSAL BROADCASTING to RICARDO GARCIA's JIREH MEDIA, INC. for $65,000 has been closed.
