CRB Opens Registration For Artist Liners

The CRB (COUNTRY RADIO BROADCASTERS) has announced that artist registration for its CRS 2011 digital liners program is now open. The all-digital process that replaced the popular ARTIST TAPING SESSIONS of CRS allows artists the flexibility to record liners at their convenience. Artists receive the requests from the CRB by NOVEMBER 3rd, 2010 and must submit the finished product back to the CRB by DECEMBER 15th to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Artists who sign up for the program are obligated to record up to three custom liners per station, up to 150 stations. Sixty-eight artists participated in the program’s debut at CRS 2010, from emerging acts to superstars such as TAYLOR SWIFT, CARRIE UNDERWOOD and REBA McENTIRE.
“Based on stellar feedback from our inaugural foray into digital liners, we are again offering a digital package to stations in place of a physical liner recording session at CRS 2011,” said CRB BOARD MEMBER and CHAIR of the DIGITAL LINERS TASK FORCE, JOHN ZARLING (of BIG MACHINE RECORDS). “We found that this new approach was appealing to many artists, managers and labels, along with more than 150 radio station attendees who registered for custom liners. We are excited to again provide this opportunity, which is unique to the Country music community.”
