Vin Scully To Return In 2011 For More Dodgers Baseball
August 23, 2010 at 4:25 AM (PT)
VIN SCULLY will return for another season of LOS ANGELES DODGERS baseball in 2011, the team announced SUNDAY (8/22). The 82-year-old Hall of Fame broadcaster has called DODGER games on radio and TV since 1950 in BROOKLYN, and has been working on one-year contracts since 2009.
SCULLY in recent years has worked most DODGER home games and road games west of, and including, COLORADO. He generally calls games in a radio-TV simulcast for the first three innings and then does the rest of the game solo on the TV side while RICK MONDAY and CHARLEY STEINER call the game on the radio.
ERIC COLLINS and STEVE LYONS handle TV calls when SCULLY is not available. The DODGERS are heard on a network with CITADEL Talk KABC-A/LOS ANGELES as the flagship, and TV games are on CBS-owned independent KCAL-TV/LOS ANGELES and the FOX SPORTS PRIME TICKET regional cable sports network.
