BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP/NASHVILLE has made some staff moves as they have announced that BIG MACHINE West Coast Regional Director MANDY McCORMICK has been named National Director, Radio Marketing.
In the newly-created position, McCORMICK will work with Sr. Director, New Media & National Promotion Strategy JOHN ZARLING in managing national promotion campaigns for artists on the BIG MACHINE & VALORY rosters.
"I am very excited to have MANDY working with me to develop our artists through the many national platforms available. Her years of experience in radio and regional promotion will bring a great perspective to the table," said ZARLING. "Further, her vast experience across three regions in the past five years will also allow her to be a valuable asset to the BIG MACHINE & VALORY regional teams as we strive to promote our artists to the greatest degree possible on the local level."
"I am proud to say I've been part of the BIG MACHINE team since 2005 and during that time I've been very fortunate to see the promotional landscape in this format from many perspectives--in the Midwest, Southwest and now the West," said McCORMICK. "Even earlier during my years in radio, I always wanted to dig deeper and make certain we presented the music in the best way possible to the fans. With this new opportunity, I will get to bring together my experience in both radio and records to maximize our artists' visibility on a national level."
Taking over McCORMICK’s former West Coast position will be KRIS LAMB, who worked in that same position for LYRIC STREET RECORDS. He will report to VP/Promotion JACK PURCELL.
"KRIS comes with a pedigree. He’s an airplay assassin to the 'nth degree and rounds out the label group’s west coast airplay trio now known as: LOSS, LAMB and LEWIS with the motto…'play me or your PPM dies'," said PURCELL. "MANDY’s passion for our artists and their continued development will reach a new level with this new position. The expansion of her role and knowledge base will be of great benefit to our artists, label and radio partners."
“I'm extremely excited to continue my journey in radio promotion with SCOTT BORCHETTA, JACK and the phenomenal team that is THE BIG MACHINE,” said LAMB. “Being reunited with RASCAL FLATTS is a continuation of a dream I began 5 years ago with LYRIC STREET.”
McCORMICK will remain based in LOS ANGELES and can be reached at (615) 419-1513 or firstname.lastname@example.org. LAMB will be based in PHOENIX and begins with the label today (8/23). Contact LAMB at (615) 418-0580 or email@example.com.
