TRIBUNE CO.'s largest creditors are reportedly talking to former WALT DISNEY CO. CEO MICHAEL EISNER about the possibility of joining TRIBUNE as Chairman.
The LOS ANGELES TIMES reports that EISNER is among the candidates to replace SAM ZELL as Chairman of the company as it emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The talks are being described as exploratory. In one scenario, EISNER would be joined by COMCAST's JEFF SHELL in TRIBUNE's top management ranks, with SHELL replacing RANDY MICHAELS as CEO.
