August 26, 2010 at 9:45 AM (PT)
NASHVILLE’s MUSIC VALLEY area will host an event called “NASHVILLE’s Rally FOR The Valley” during LABOR DAY weekend (9/3-9/6) to help bring business back to the area following the area’s flood devastation in MAY. The GAYLORD OPRYLAND HOTEL, OPRY MILLS mall and the GRAND OLE OPRY are all located near the MUSIC VALLEY area, which was hit hard with lack of tourism following the closing of those three locations.
The local DUKES OF HAZZARD MUSEUM, called COOTER’s PLACE, is one of the sponsors of the event. DUKES actress CATHERINE BACH will be on hand SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th at COOTER’s to meet with fans and sign autographs as part of the festivities in the area.
Various venues will be hosting live shows throughout the weekend, including the NASHVILLE PALACE’s “Country Music Dinner Show” hosted by IRLENE MANDRELL, NASHVILLE NIGHTLIFE’s “Best Of Country Music Dinner Show,” live music at the TWO RIVERS CAMPGROUND and the MIDNIGHT JAMBOREE with JIM ED BROWN at the TEXAS TROUBADOUR. Several businesses in the MUSIC VALLEY area will also be running special deals and discounts, such as the COCK OF THE WALK restaurant, SCOREBOARD sports bar and GUESTHOUSE INN & SUITES.
Fans must have an orange wristband to receive the deals, and wristbands may be picked up at COOTER’S PLACE beginning FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd while supplies last. COOTER’S PLACE is located at 2613 McGAVOCK PIKE in NASHVILLE. For more info on “NASHVILLE’S Rally FOR The Valley,” visit www.nashvillemusicvalley.com, www.cootersplace.com or call (615) 872-8358.
