CITADEL Country KQFC/BOISE and sister Country KIZN/BOISE are holding a private show with STROUDAVARIOUS artist DARRYL WORLEY for the 116th CAVALRY BRIGADE COMBAT TEAM on SEPTEMBER 9th in BOISE. KIZN PD RICH SUMMERS tells ALL ACCESS that when the news broke that the 116th was headed back to IRAQ they wanted to plan something special for the troops and their families. This will be the second deployment for many of the troops.
RICH said: “GOVERNOR OTTER and his wife, LORI, listen to our stations. They had a similar idea and contacted the 116th … We reached out to DARRYL’s camp and they didn’t even hesitate to say YES! ... We feel honored to be part of this, and feel like it is the LEAST we can do to show our support for these men and women and thank them for the sacrifices they and their families are making.”
The picnic and concert will be a private show for the 116th and other active military in the BOISE area. The event will take place at GOWEN FIELD, the home base of the IDAHO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD and is not open to the public.
