Technical Snafu Delays WSMR Classical Debut

Classical music is temporarily off the analog air in the TAMPA and SARASOTA areas as WSMR/SARASOTA remains off the air until next week due to technical problems at its tower site while the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA's noncommercial WUSF-F/TAMPA has completed its transition to all News-Talk.
The school bought WSMR to move Classical programming onto that signal and allow WUSF to assume an all-spoken word format, but the technical problems have delayed the WSMR part of the plan. In the meantime, the Classical format is available on WUSF's HD RADIO multicast channel.
