FCC Commissioner MEREDITH ATTWELL BAKER TODAY (9/27) announced the departure of two staff members, Wireline Legal Advisor CHRISTI SHEWMAN and Confidential Assistant and Staff Attorney MILLIE KERR.
SHEWMAN is moving to rejoin the Wireline Competition Bureau, with Legal Advisor BRAD GILLEN transitioning to wireline issues and the Media Bureau's KRISTA WITANOWSKI being detailed to BAKER's office as Acting Legal Advisor for media issues pending the selection of a permanent advisor. "This is a great opportunity for CHRISTI," said BAKER of SHEWMAN's move. "While I will miss her counsel, I have been fortunate to have had her on my team since the beginning of my tenure at the Commission. The Bureau is lucky to have her back, and the good news is that we will all benefit from her expertise."
On KERR's exit, BAKER said, "MILLIE has been an invaluable member of my team. I thank her for the contributions she has made both professionally and personally and wish her every success in her future pursuits." KARI AMSTUTZ, most recently on the staff of Rep. CHARLES DJOU (R-HI), is joining BAKER's staff as Confidential Assistant, and TASHA KINNEY is joining as Staff Assistant from the Department of Agriculture.
