TOM JOYNER, host of REACH MEDIA’s syndicated TOM JOYNER MORNING SHOW, culminates his national health initiative “Take A Loved One To The Doctor Day” today (TUESDAY). This feature was started by JOYNER eight years ago to improve health consciousness among minority groups, especially the African-American community.
“Having a quality lifestyle means living healthily for as long as we can,” said JOYNER. “The ‘Take a Loved One To the Doctor Day’ campaign in collaboration with AARP reminds us that going to the doctor, working out and eating right are necessary tools for a longer, happier healthier life.”
Events and on-air activities have been in place throughout a six-month campaign which began back in APRIL in an effort to improve access to culturally relevant health care information and to help better educate members of the African-American community regarding the benefits of prevention and treatment of serious diseases.
