PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS and POLYCOM, a leader in unified communications (UC), announced a new agreement for CMA AWARDS radio remotes TODAY (10/5). As part of PREMIERE’s annual radio remote broadcast leading up to the 44th Annual CMA AWARDS Country radio stations will have the opportunity to utilize POLYCOM’s video and telepresence solutions to virtually participate in the remote broadcast from NASHVILLE on NOVEMBER 7th through 9th. It will allow stations to interview Country artists via live video, thus minimizing on-site staff to a single representative. These “video-link” stations will also have the unique opportunity to immediately post video of the interviews on their station’s websites.
Participating video-link stations include WUBL/ATLANTA, WMZQ/WASHINGTON, D.C., WSSL/GREENVILLE, S.C., WBCT/GRAND RAPIDS, KTST/OKLAHOMA CITY and WYRK/BUFFALO.
JULIE TALBOTT, PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS Pres./Content and Affiliate Relations said, “We’re excited to work closely with an industry leader like POLYCOM. At a time when every employee is crucial to the day-to-day operations of a radio station, we felt it was important to lead the charge and embrace this technology in order to continue providing stations great access to special events like the CMA AWARDS.”
More details regarding PREMIERE’s coverage of the CMA AWARDS, which air live from the BRIDGESTONE ARENA in NASHVILLE on NOVEMBER 10th at 8p (ET) on ABC-TV, will be announced soon. Check out more about PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS at www.premiereradio.com.
