Garth Brooks Pitches In For Habitat For Humanity
October 8, 2010 at 10:06 AM (PT)
Country star GARTH BROOKS recently took part in working on a HABITAT FOR HUMANITY house as part of the 27th Annual JIMMY AND ROSALYN CARTER PROJECT. BROOKS worked on a house for GERI SMITH, a BIRMINGHAM area woman, who was moving into the house with the three children.
BROOKS told the BIRMINGHAM NEWS: "I really look forward to this. One of the biggest misunderstandings about HABITAT is that they give away homes for free. They don't. These people work their butts off."
GERI introduced BROOKS at a dinner attended by former Pres. JIMMY CARTER for the event.
