LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA has tapped radio veteran SCOTT LINDY as PD of Adult Top 40 WSTR (STAR 94)/ATLANTA, succeeding J.R. AMMONS, who left the company in JULY.
This move to STAR 94 follows nearly two years as OM for crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL's six-station cluster, including LINDY's role as PD of Country WUBL and News WGST-A.
"SCOTT's a solid programmer who knows ATLANTA radio," said LFM/ATLANTA SVP/GM RICK MACK. "Most of all, he understands the unique position held by STAR 94 - we represent the music and local feel that ATLANTA loves. I'm confident SCOTT will run with that and take us to the next level."
LINDY, who begins his new post TOMORROW (10/14), said, I'm extremely pleased to be able to work with great radio minds like RICK MACK, (LFM VP/Programming & Operations) JOHN DIMICK and (LFM President & CEO) DON BENSON. I'm proud to join a company that invests in their people and stations the way LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA does. It will be my honor and pleasure to take STAR 94 into its next dominant phase in ATLANTA, truly one of AMERICA's great radio markets."
LINDY has also held programming/management positions with SIRIUS XM RADIO's Country stations in NASHVILLE, CLEAR CHANNEL's BALTIMORE cluster and WTVR-A&F/RICHMOND.
