Mistrial Declared In Trial Of Radio Newsman's Alleged Killer

A mistrial has been ruled TODAY (10/28) in the trial of JOHN KATEHIS, the teenager accused of the murder of veteran radio newsman GEORGE WEBER. The jury in the case was deadlocked in the third day of deliberations, and NEW YORK State Supreme Court Justice NEIL JON FIRETOG declared the mistrial, then briefly reconsidered when jurors asked for more time, but once again declared a mistrial.
WEBER, an anchor for ABC NEWS RADIO and a former CITADEL Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK newsman, was found stabbed to death at his apartment in BROOKLYN on MARCH 20. 2009. KATEHIS' trial began OCTOBER 18th.
