Former ESPN Sports WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)/NEW YORK Marketing Dir. GREG BRODSKY, who exited the station this SUMMER to launch his own entertainment and sports marketing consultancy, has been named Marketing Dir. of the WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL. BRODSKY's extensive resume includes stops at WARNER BROS., MADISON SQUARE GARDEN and ATLANTIC RECORDS.
"We are truly excited about this new addition to our organization," said festival Co-Founder and Exec. Dir. MEIRA BLAUSTEIN. "GREG's wealth of experience in marketing for large sports and entertainment corporations will surely contribute to the growth of the WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL in the years to come. His vast contacts and his deep understanding of both marketing and branding will help continue to define our path and we look forward to working with him as we forge ahead in our plans towards 2011 and beyond."
"I'm delighted to join MEIRA, LAURENT (REJTO, Co-Founder and Director) and the dedicated Festival team," said BRODSKY. "The WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL allows marketers the ultimate product placement by reaching an incredible group of tastemakers, who are in WOODSTOCK to enjoy an outstanding week of film, parties, concerts, shopping and dining."
The festival is planning its 12th event for FALL 2011 after the success of its 2010 show, which attracted sell-out crowds and celebrities, including EDIE FALCO, ADRIAN GRENIER, EDWARD BURNS, VERA FARMIGA, and this year's honorees, KEANU REEVES, BRUCE BERESFORD and BOB BERNEY.
