Former KFYI-A and KFNX-A/PHOENIX host BOB MOHAN's search for a kidney is the subject of an article in today's ARIZONA REPUBLIC. MOHAN, who hosted on KFYI for 16 years before his 2002 departure and later hosted a midday show at KFNX, has the genetic disorder polycystic kidney disease and is on dialysis while awaiting a transplant, and is on the list for a donor organ, but is taking the initiative to find a kidney on his own, asking family, friends and the public for a donation.
"How do you go and say, 'Can I have your kidney?'" MOHAN asked. "I've looked at friends and I say, 'I need a kidney'... It's amazing how your popularity kind of droops down a little bit."
