MAGIC BROADCASTING Talk WYOO (TALK RADIO 101.1)/PANAMA CITY, FL morning host BURNIE THOMPSON's FLORIDA statewide syndicated talk show has launched this week. THOMPSON's weekly show will air on GENESIS COMMUNICATIONS Talk WWBA-A/TAMPA; CHESAPEAKE-PORTSMOUTH BROADCASTING Talk WBOB-A/JACKSONVILLE; MIRACLE RADIO Talk WPNN-A/PENSACOLA; ASTERISK Talk WBXY (THE STAR 99.5)/GAINESVILLE; and NATURE COAST BROADCASTING Talk WOGF (FRANK 104)/DUNELLON-OCALA, with other FLORIDA markets coming before the end of the year.

MAGIC CEO DON MCCOY said that the show was created to "meet the need of programmers and listeners who want something local but also want to hear what going on statewide-especially if it will impact their lives.... THOMPSON's show has hosted many of FLORIDA's most notable politicians, including Senator-elect MARCO RUBIO, Governor-elect RICK SCOTT, and former State Senate President JEFF ATWATER. RUBIO, whose election has catapulted him to national prominence, once referred to THOMPSON, a former Air Force Captain, as "FLORIDA's Voice of Freedom."
