CEA Announces 2011 Best of Innovations Design And Engineering Award Honorees

The CONSUMER ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION has announced its 2011 CES Best of Innovations Design and Engineering Award Honorees. The awards honor outstanding advancements in design and engineering across 35 consumer electronics product categories, and will be displayed at the "CES Unveiled" press event in advance of the INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW in LAS VEGAS on JANUARY 4th.

"This prestigious awards program gives consumer technology manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their products judged by a distinguished panel of designers, engineers and press," said CEA President/CEO GARY SHAPIRO. "The strength of this year’s submissions demonstrates the vitality and innovation within the CE industry. We congratulate all finalists for their engineering creativity and design acumen."

Chiefs Of Cisco, GE, Xerox, Netflix To Appear At CES

The CEA also announced that CISCO's JOHN CHAMBERS, GE's JEFFREY IMMELT, and XEROX's URSULA BURNS will be on the CES Innovation Power Panel on JANUARY 7th, talking about how innovation drives their companies' successes, and that NETFLIX CEO REED HASTINGS will keynote the CES Leaders in Technology Dinner on JAUNARY 7th, in a "fireside chat" with SHAPIRO.
