The CHARLES H. REVSON FOUNDATION is making a $1 million donation to noncommercial News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK, reports the WALL STREET JOURNAL. The donation is targeted at helping expand the stations' newsroom as part of WNYC's existing three-year initiative to add 35 reporters and increase reporting on local issues.
"The pressing issues and challenges facing NEW YORK today demand we maintain a platform for rigorous, authoritative public-affairs reporting," said REVSON FOUNDATION Pres. JULIE SANDORF. "In order for a democracy to succeed, robust reporting is essential to supporting and sustaining an informed and active citizenry."
