Talk Host Arrested In Sports Gambling Bust

Veteran HARTFORD radio personality SEBASTIAN was among 13 people arrested by CONNECTICUT State Police as connected to a sports betting ring.
NBC O&O WVIT-TV (NBC 30) reports that SEBASTIAN (real name JOE SCHLOSSER), presently host of CBS RADIO Talk WTIC-A/HARTFORD's "Pregame Blitz" football show on MONDAYs and THURSDAYs, was arrested along with 12 others, including a former WOLCOTT Town Council member, in the culmination of a state police investigation that launched in NOVEMBER 2009 and involved federal and state authorities. He faces charges of professional gambling and transmitting gambling information.
The HARTFORD COURANT reports that WTIC OM STEVEN SALHANY said that SEBASTIAN's football show, which airs before MONDAY and THURSDAY night games and is co-hosted by former NFL player TEBUCKY JONES, "won't be on" TODAY, but offered no further comment.
