The SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL's TOM JICHA is reporting that SOUTH FLORIDA radio legend NEIL ROGERS' open heart surgery has been canceled and he has been moved to hospice care.
ROGERS, who was a major figure in MIAMI talk radio with stops at WKAT-A, WNWS-A, WINZ-A, WZTA, WIOD-A, and, most recently, WQAM-A, suffered a stroke and at least one and possibly two heart attacks since last SUMMER, returning to his PLANTATION, FL home from TORONTO, where he has been living for several years, on NOVEMBER 7th. ROGERS' former colleague CRAIG WORTHING and ROGERS' longtime attorney and friend NORM KENT confirmed the canceled surgery and move to hospice care to JICHA.
