Mississippi Public Broadcasting Experiences Tech Troubles

MISSISSIPPI PUBLIC BROADCASTING's radio signals were temporarily knocked off the air and TV service was disrupted by a power problem at the services' studios, reports the JACKSON CLARION-LEDGER. The stations were silenced on SUNDAY morning when power was shut down for routine maintenance and backup power sources failed.
The stations hope to be back at full power by FRIDAY; in the meantime, six of MPB's eight radio stations were working to return at "low quality" and the TV network was only feeding standard definition programming, shutting off its HD and digital-only PBS CREATE feeds.
