FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY has been fined $1,500 by the FCC for a late license renewal application for noncommercial WFIT/MELBOURNE, FL.
The licensee filed the renewal after the deadline but before its license expired. Its argument that the fine would "deplete valuable resources that could be allocated to community education and information services" was rejected by the Commission as an unsupported plea of financial hardship.
