Veteran HARTFORD radio personality SEBASTIAN has been arraigned in CONNECTICUT Superior Court on gambling charges. SEBASTIAN (real name JOSEPH SCHLOSSER) faces criminal charges of gambling and transmitting gambling information after a state investigation of sports gambling in HARTFORD and is scheduled to appear on TUESDAY (1/4) in Superior Court in NEW BRITAIN.
The HARTFORD COURANT reports that SEBASTIAN told detectives in the case that he paid over $350,000 in gambling losses over two years. He was arrested on NOVEMBER 17th; the man identified by case files as the alleged bookie, PAUL GRAZIANO, has yet to be charged, and a state policeman told the COURANT only that an investigation is continuing.
SEBASTIAN, well-known for his long stint in mornings at Rock WCCC-F, has most recently hosted NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS pre-game shows with former NFL player TEBUCKY JONES on CBS RADIO Talk WTIC-A/HARTFORD.
