Regional cell phone carrier CRICKET is unveiling its new MUVE MUSIC music download service at the INTERNATIONAL CES in LAS VEGAS. MUVE, initially announced in DECEMBER, allows customers to download and access unlimited music on their mobile phones as part of the service's $55 no-contract unlimited text and data plan.
MUVE will initially only be available to purchasers of the SAMSUNG SUEDE handset and does not require the use of a computer, although music downloaded through the service cannot be accessed on a computer or any device other than the single authorized handset and will only be accessible while the plan is active and paid-for.
UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP, SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, WARNER MUSIC GROUP, and SAMSUNG are partners in the MUVE venture and will participate in a session discussing the service on FRIDAY at CES.
