"PAUL & YOUNG RON’s 16th Annual Holiday Food Drive" is an opportunity for the region’s most popular morning radio show, and its loyal listeners, to make a difference for locals who are hungry and need help.
More than 810,000 pounds of food was generated during a series of fundraisers that included "Meatballs & Martinis," a private dinner at ANTHONY’S RUNWAY 84, and "Comedy for a Cause" at THE HOLLYWOOD IMPROV, as well as from the radio show’s online auction and a 12-hour broadcast at BASS PRO SHOPS OUTDOOR WORLD. Hosted by PAUL CASTRONOVO and "YOUNG" RON BREWER, the events will create more than half a million meals at FEEDING SOUTH FLORIDA (formerly the DAILY BREAD FOOD BANK), a nonprofit that provides food to those who can't adequately feed themselves.
For every $1 that is contributed, FEEDING SOUTH FLORIDA is able to purchase nine pounds of food, which equals six meals. "PAUL & YOUNG RON Show" is aired weekday mornings 6-10A on BIG 105.9 FM/MIAMI, The GATER 98.7 FM /WEST PALM BEACH, SUN 103.1/KEY LARGO and SUN 99.5 FM/KEY WEST.
