Richard Dreyfuss To Discuss 'Civil Discourse' On Michael Medved Show

Actor RICHARD DREYFUSS will guest on TODAY's MICHAEL MEDVED show on SALEM RADIO NETWORK to discuss the issue of civil discourse in the wake of the TUCSON shootings. DREYFUSS is set to host a national forum on the issue in WASHINGTON next MONDAY (1/17).
"MICHAEL MEDVED and RICHARD DREYFUSS may not see eye to eye on every issue politically," said TOM TRADUP, VP/News & Talk Programming for SRN, "but one of the great strengths of Talk radio is sparking an ongoing national dialogue of key issues and providing an opportunity for a free and open exchange of ideas and opinions among men and women from coast to coast."
Limbaugh: 'Embarrassing Weekend' For Media, Sheriff A 'Fool'
The issue of "civil discourse" is a hot topic after some, including PIMA COUNTY Sheriff CLARENCE DUPNIK, blamed Talk radio and the "Tea Party" for the shooting, despite no evidence that the suspect, JARED LEE LOUGHNER, listened to talk radio or participated in the "Tea Party" and more evidence of mental illness and a rambling, unstable philosophy.
PREMIERE's RUSH LIMBAUGH, making his first comments on MONDAY after the shooting, called it "an embarrassing weekend it has been for the media" and said DUPNIK "made a fool of himself." He said that liberals are "to take an incident like this and to try to turn it into a political advantage by accusing people that have nothing whatsoever to do with this sordid, unfortunate event, as accomplices to murder. It's silly on its face."
