Liberal, KS Declares January 15th 'Jerrod Niemann Day'

SEA GAYLE/ARISTA NASHVILLE artist JERROD NIEMANN’s hometown of LIBERAL, KS has declared TOMORROW (JANUARY 15th) as “JERROD NIEMANN DAY,” in celebration of his sold-out benefit concert taking place TOMORROW night for the LIBERAL HIGH SCHOOL BOOSTER CLUB. LIBERAL Mayor TIM LONG announced the proclamation during TUESDAY night’s (1/11) city commission meeting, according to the HIGH PLAINS DAILY LEADER.
The official proclamation reads, “His 2010 achievements included a nomination for CMA New Artist of the Year and three nominations for the AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS. Recently, JERROD has been touring with GARY ALLAN and BRAD PAISLEY. Whereas JERROD NIEMANN is returning to LIBERAL on JANUARY 15th, 2011, for a special homecoming concert to benefit the BOOSTER CLUB at his alma mater, LIBERAL HIGH SCHOOL – the concert was a sell-out. Now, therefore, I, TIM LONG, Mayor or the City of LIBERAL, KANSAS, by the authority vested in me, do hereby proclaim SATURDAY, JANUARY 15, 2011 as ‘JERROD NIEMANN DAY’ in LIBERAL, KANSAS and encourage all citizens to congratulate JERROD NIEMANN for his successes.”
