Northern Kentucky University Buys Three Ohio Stations

DOUGLAS L. BRADEN's RADIO STATIONS WPAY/WPFB, INC. is selling Classic Country WPFB-A and Country WPFB-F (REBEL 105.9 FM)/MIDDLETOWN, OH and Country WPAY (POWER COUNTRY 104)/PORTSMOUTH, OH to NORTHERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY for $6.75 million plus an operating agreement to start FEBRUARY 1st. The WPFB stations are located between the DAYTON and CINCINNATI markets; WPAY reaches the HUNTINGTON, WV market and up to CHILLICOTHE to the north.
PATRICK COMMUNUCATIONS' GREG GUY represented the seller and PUBLIC RADIO CAPITAL represented the buyer in the deal.

CCS RADIO, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for KYED/CAMERON, LA.

UKRD Buys Rest Of 107 The Bee/Blackburn
In the U.K., UKRD is buying the portion of Hot AC 107 THE BEE/BLACKBURN, ENGLAND it doesn't already own for an undisclosed price, according to RADIO TODAY. UKRD already owned 35% of the station through its THE LOCAL RADIO COMPANY subsidiary, and 107 THE BEE recently moved its studios to ACCRINGON to co-locate with THE LOCAL RADIO COMPANY's Top 40 TWO BOROUGHS RADIO (2BR)/BURNLEY, EAST LANCASHIRE.
