Many Come Out To Celebrate Little Jimmy Dickens' 90th B-Day

Many of Country music notables, along with community leaders from the NASHVILLE community came out on WEDNESDAY night (1/19) to celebrate the 90th birthday of GRAND OLE OPRY legend and COUNTRY HALL of FAMER LITTLE JIMMY DICKENS. His actual birthday was DECEMBER 19th. The event was held at RIPPY’s in downtown NASHVILLE.
NASHVILLE Mayor KARL DEAN came by the party and called DICKENS: "A man with extraordinary stature in the music business and beyond." Others on hand included BILL ANDERSON, BRYAN WHITE, JESSE COULTER, JOHN CONLEE and many more.
LITTLE JIMMY DICKENS landed in NASHVILLE in 1948 from his hometown SAGINAW, MI. In 1964 he became the first Country artist to circle the globe, playing for AMERICAN troops all over the world.
