Fall 2010 Honolulu Reports To Be Reissued By Arbitron

ARBITRON will release a revised FALL 2010 HONOLULU Radio Market Report due to problems with the way OHANA BROADCAST COMPANY, LLC Rhythmic AC KUMU A/F simulcast reporting was handeled.
Wrote ARBITRON, "Stations that simulcast 100% throughout the survey period are eligible to receive Total Line Reporting upon request. Audience estimates for stations that receive Total Line Reporting are combined and reported with the 'primary' station’s call letters (selected by the partners).
"KUMU and KUMU-A, which changed call letters to KHKA-A during FALL 2010, received Total Line Reporting in the FALL 2010 HONOLULU Radio Market Report, with KUMU listed as the primary station. Audience estimates reported with the call letters KUMU-FM therefore reflect combined listening to KUMU and KHKA-A throughout the FALL 2010 survey.
"KHKA-A and KUMU began airing separate programming during the FALL 2010 survey. As a result, audience estimates for these stations should have been reported separately."
A revised FALL 2010 HONOLULU Radio Market Report, in which KHKA-AM and KUMU-FM are reported separately will release on MONDAY, JANUARY 31st.
ARBITRON reported audience estimates for stations other than KHKA-A and KUMU were not affected.
