LITTLE ENGINE RECORDS artist SEAN PATRICK McGRAW’s song “Git Yer Cowboy On” will be the theme song for WESTWOOD ONE’s SUPER BOWL game broadcast, live from COWBOYS STADIUM in DALLAS this SUNDAY (2/6). Some of the lyrics were customized specifically for the SUPER BOWL this year.
WESTWOOD ONE SPORTS SVP/Exec. Prod. HOWARD DENEROFF said: "They say everything is bigger in TEXAS, and this SUPER BOWL matchup may just prove them right. The PACKERS and the STEELERS are two of the most storied franchises in sports, and our all-star broadcast crew is eagerly anticipating kickoff and bringing all the excitement of SUPER SUNDAY to millions of listeners nationwide, and to our troops overseas."
McGRAW added: “It is amazing how a song that has not been released wide was heard by one of the top decision maker’s at WESTWOOD ONE SPORTS and now it is the opening to the live broadcast of the biggest and most watched sporting event in the world. The freakin’ SUPER BOWL. I cannot wait to hear it on the airwaves as it kicks off the game.”
WW1’s broadcast of the SUPER BOWL can also be heard on the AMERICAN FORCES RADIO NETWORK and at www.nfl.com/fieldpass. Stations interested in airing the game can visit www.westwoodone.com/superbowl for more info.
