Musician Gregg Swann Passes

ALL ACCESS sends condolences to the family and friends of DALIN recording artist GREGG SWANN who passed away on TUESDAY (2/1) after a long battle with cancer.
After earning a degree in Economics, SWANN moved from MISSOURI to PHILADELPHIA and later NEW YORK to pursue a career as a singer and songwriter. Early in his career he competed as a contestant on STAR SEARCH and eventually had a Top 20 hit on the Adult charts with the song "Spinning" from his critically acclaimed album "Dizzy At The Door." His songs were featured on television shows such as "ALL MY CHILDREN," "LIFE ON THE STREET," and NBC-TV's "HOMOCIDE" and he also toured throughout the U.S. and EUROPE.
After he was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, SWANN refused to be defined by his illness. He continued to work, write, perform and enjoy travel and visits with family and friends. SWANN is survived by his wife YVETTE REYES, and his son PETER.
Memorial visitation will be held on FRIDAY (2/4) and SATURDAY (2/5) from 2-4p, and from 6-8p at RIVERDALE-ON-HUDSON FUNERAL HOME, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, BRONX, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in GREGG’s memory to WWW.STANDUP2CANCER.ORG.
