ESPN RADIO's "MIKE AND MIKE IN THE MORNING" co-host MIKE GOLIC picked the GREEN BAY PACKERS to win the SUPER BOWL before the season started, thus winning a $500 donation to charity in a bet with USA TODAY sports handicapper DANNY SHERIDAN.
The bet saw GOLIC and MIKE GREENBERG wagering a $100 donation to THE V FOUNDATION if neither picked the eventual champion, and SHERIDAN putting up $500 for the charity of his choice if either co-host picked correctly, based on 5-1 odds on them being right. SHERIDAN is donating $500 to former ESPN college football analyst MIKE GOTTFRIED's TEAM FOCUS charity for fatherless boys.
GOLIC said, "GREENY and I enjoy our yearly wager with DANNY because no matter the outcome, there is a charity that will benefit. By the way, I won."
GREENBERG, who picked the BALTIMORE RAVENS, said, "Great job by DANNY and by GOLIC. I hope someday to hold up my end, but if I don't, it's all for a great cause."
